Lecturing and speaking engagements
Philip Brain has an extensive speaking record and recent engagements have included Improve seminars on gastrointestinal medicine, endoscopy and the ASAVA conference on coughing and hypoglycaemia. He has also presented webinars for many organisations.
Veterinary writing
Philip has written extensively for the Veterinarian magazine as a freelance contributor. Phil can write on a variety of subjects ranging on internal medicine (respiratory disease, endoscopy, endocrinology, cardiology, gastroenterology) and has also covered veterinary conferences. He is also a regular book reviewer for the Australian Veterinary Journal, Australian Veterinary Practitioner and the Veterinarian magazine.
Conference and Seminar Provision
BrainWAVES hosts weekend seminars for continuing education for veterinary professionals. Phil has extensive experience having been ASAVA scientific convener for over 10 years. Phil also was scientific convener for the FASAVA Congress in 2017, one of the largest small animal veterinary CE events held in this country. Keep a look out for more upcoming seminar weekends.

Phil has extensive experience in the media including being a spokesperson for the Australian Veterinary Association over many years and speaking on ABC's stateline and SBS's The Feed
Consultancy and Projects
Philip Brain has extensive experience in the veterinary profession over 30 years and has established a wide network of veterinary contacts. Through years of committee involvement with the ASAVA, AVA, and industry advisory groups, he has a wealth of knowledge on the veterinary industry. His experience includes training, education and standards. He has worked as a consultant on projects with the AVA, LIfelearn and Idexx. AVA projects have included chief consultant for the AVA Return to Work Program and work on the Chartered Veterinary Practitioner Scheme. Phil has also helped develop the Australian Red Cross Pet First Aid program to this country

PHIL'S BIOGRAPHY
Philip is a registered veterinary small animal medicine specialist with extensive experience in scientific convening
Philip H Brain graduated from the University of Sydney in 1985 and after 13 years in general practice, completed a residency program in small animal medicine at the Veterinary Specialist Centre, North Ryde, NSW and gained his Fellowship in Small Animal Medicine from the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 2007.
Phil served on ASAVA executive for 19 years including a Presidential term, two terms as Honorary Secretary and ASAVA scientific convener for 10 years. He was recognized with an AVA Meritorious Service Award in 1999, the ASAVA Distinguished Service Award in 2005 and a special ASAVA outstanding service award in 2010. He became the first veterinarian to receive a Chartered Membership (CMAVA) of the AVA in 2004. Phil was a scientific convener for FASAVA Congress in 2014 and is current convener for the 2017 congress. He was recognized with a service to veterinary nursing award in 1997 and was the first veterinarian to be awarded honorary membership of the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia in 2003. He was awarded a fellowship from the AVA in 2007 in recognition of his service to the profession. In 2016 he received the ASAVA’s small animal Practitioner of the Year award. In 2017, he received the Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Assocations-Hills Practitioner of the Year award, becoming the first Australian to win this international award.
Phil is a registered specialist in small animal medicine and is currently practicing at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) in North Ryde, Sydney and clinical interests include endoscopy, endocrinology and interventional techniques.

TINA'S BIOGRAPHY
Tina has extensive experience in the veterinary, human resources industries and project management
Tina has extensive experience in the veterinary industry having started as a receptionist at a large general practice on the north shore for over 8 years and then varied administration roles including office manager and human resources manager at the first private multi-discipline veterinary specialist centre for over 10 years. In this role she played an integral part in the growth of the centre from a two specialist practice to a thriving multi-specialist and 24 hour emergency centre.
Tina has also project managed renovation projects, been a PA to a general manager of a veterinary biotechnical company, trained as a domiciliary pathology collector and pathology technician and provided reception services in multiple practice disciplines.
